Kota stone
Kota stone tiles
Calibrated, edge-cut and ready to lay.
What it is
Solid stone that lays like a tile.
The tile line is Kota cut to a fixed module, calibrated to an even thickness and edge-cut square, so it lays like a manufactured tile with a thin bed and tight joints — but it is solid stone through and through, not a printed surface.
That is the whole argument for it over vitrified tile. It costs about the same to buy, it lasts several times as long on a busy floor, and it can be ground back to new instead of being lifted and replaced.
Where it belongs
The jobs this one is for.

- Floors laid on adhesive over a level screed
- Anywhere joints need to be tight and even
- Large floors where laying speed decides the labour bill
Worth knowing
Calibration is a tolerance, not a look — it is what lets the tiler work fast. It is worth the premium on anything over a few hundred square feet.
