Kota stone
Kota stone Water proof
Treated against water take-up, for roofs and wet floors.
What it is
Treated at our unit, before it ever reaches your roof.
Kota is a dense limestone and takes up little water to begin with, but on a terrace, a roof or a bathroom floor even a little matters — it is what leads to damp patches below and to salt bloom on the surface.
This is stone treated to close the surface against water take-up before it leaves us. It still needs to be laid properly on a sound, falls-correct bed with the joints pointed — a treatment is not a substitute for waterproofing the slab underneath.
Where it belongs
The jobs this one is for.

- Terraces, roofs and chajjas
- Bathroom and utility floors
- Anywhere the floor sits over a habitable room
Worth knowing
Ask us what has been done to a given lot and how long it holds. We will tell you straight, including when the honest answer is to waterproof the substrate properly instead.
